Yin Yoga is a deeply relaxing and transformative class.  It involves long-held passive poses, 3 to 7 minutes, that focus on stretching and accessing deeper layers of fascia.  Yin allows for a meditative experience as students are encouraged to turn inward and focus on the breath.  This practice is known for its ability to lower stress by activating the parasympathetic nervous system. Alanna will guide you through breath work and other meditative practices during the class, and offer hands-on assist to deepen the stretch, add pressure, or help access the pose in a different way.  Enjoy the calm, candlelit environment of the early evening and drop in with some Yin.
