Awareness Through Movement lessons are group classes where participants are verbally led through a series of structured movement sequences, establishing new patterns of movement. These lessons utilize attention, perception and imagination, designed to evoke a more synergistic use of yourself.  Feldenkrais lessons may feel similar to guided movement meditations, asking students to focus their awareness inwards with curiosity and a willingness to move slowly to find out about their own habits.  Lessons can be both subtle and meditative or playfully explorative, many ending with movement sequences or ease in movement that students might not have thought possible for themselves.  
By learning more about the self, the movement habits we have, ways in which we may create unnecessary strain in our activities, and how we can move with more skeletal power, each individual has an opportunity to teach themselves greater functionality and enjoyment in life and movement.
